Description
Arnos Vale is a Victorian Cemetery established in 1837 it covers 45 acres and 50,000 graves. Many of the monuments contain images which are symbolic. The urn first became popular in the 18th century when they were found in ruined Greek graveyards,some are draped with cloth like this one - drapery over anything indicates sorrow and mourning.
