Nice shot in one of my favourite places in Scotland - except for the midges. Already snow on the Cairngorm...

A crackin' shot, Anthony. Nice to see Sian growing up, safely held by Jane, but now, obviously no longer living in the 'windy city'. auld EK, although probably no less windy from this capture. Good luck in your new wee bit but'n'ben / hoose / school and job(s). Getting one's family to pose is sometimes quite difficult. Getting those clouds and atmosphere to be just that perfect suggests perfect timing, or that you sold your soul to your SLR .. ;o) The foreground rock texture adds a nice variety, contrasting with the soft background focus of vegetation clad hills and fields, in what looks like the perfect heilan' 'Indian Summer'. Warm regards as the sun at last escapes from behind the clouds ( well it is near to the sun going down ), doon here in the 'dear green place', John.

From the pictures I've seen so far sun does seem like a rarity...but the country is still beautiful, even when the skies are gloomy or there is fog.
