Description

Not far from Daventry, St Peter’s almost sprawls across the fields, with humps of a deserted mediaeval village all around, two abandoned railways and a flourishing canal. The building dates mostly from the 13th and 14th centuries and has a memorable mediaeval wooden screen, as well as a Queen Anne Royal Arms and the Victorian Hood mausoleum. St Peter’s is bathed in light from the mediaeval clerestory and lower windows.
