I have been into photography for over 40 years, and the pull doesnt lessen. As a family we have always been keen walkers, and that gets you to some interesting places.Ive recently been to Southern India as a member of an adult support team with our local community school to Chennai so the camera never cooled down i can tell you, (watch this space). I live in Chard South Somerset, and have fairly recently converted to digital, at first reluctantly, but now enthusiastically. Its great to hear others comments on your pictures and i am looking forward to loading up my space. Alan. Almost through my first week and inspiration levels have rocketed, thanks for all those comments they drive me on.

I can't be self respecting then Alan, I must admit that I haven't got one but maybe I can rectify that!! This is a lovely early morning shot of this iconic street. A pity you didn't see the bread delivery boy on his bike!

Beautiful little cottages Alan.

It is a beautiful place Alan the light being on the wrong side on your visit.. The Hovis advert had me thinking it was up north, rather than one of our west-country treats..

You need to be in good condition, if you live there and you have to go up there every day. Fantastic shot, it's an unknown place for me. Thanks for sharing.

I have never actually been there, in spite of several visits to the town!!

Great photo! Be careful riding a bike or a wheelchair down this street. I bet the people who live here get a lot of exersise. Thanks for sharing.

Que ambiente tan agradable, colores cálidos que invitan al paseo por la zona. Well done

Super moment to capture this scene - the light pattern on the road is superb.

this perspective provides an interesting view of the descending curve. the houses are an interesting combination of textures and values. i can see why this location is a common subject.

A superb landscape.

a very nice view and I love the roofs

Beautiful! The light slanting in on the near roofs accentuates the varied textures. I love the stepping down of the roofs with the thatch one bucking the trend in both texture and step progression. Wonderful shadows of the irregular roof line and chimneys, and beautiful soft landscape in the distance. Excellent capture!

Beautiful capture but not sure that I would want to live up there on an icy winter day. Dana
