The fall of the Twelve Colonies was a stroke of terrible efficiency by the Cylons. But there were survivors, and one ship that made it out of the debacle was the carrier Dawnstar. Normally she was used for resupplying the Battlestars with Vipers and Raptors, but she was soon to be retired and had been loaded with obsolete Vipers. When the fleet was smashed at Scorpion shipyards and the Pegasus made her emergency jump, the Dawnstar had just put out and knew there was nothing she could do. But the commander remembered a Colonial military outpost on Boralis, maybe it had been too small to worry about...it wasn't. The battle would be trying for the older ship and its aging commander.
