Description
For those of you who have read the Preston and Child Pendergast series you will know who she is. For those of you unacquainted with Constance, here's a little info on her. She became the ward of Pendergast after he inherited his great-grand uncle's house on Riverside Drive, NYC. Not certain how long she has lived in the Riverside residence but most likely for decades. And don't let her youthful appearance fool you--it is the result of the experimentation of the very brilliant and very crazy uncle. She has been house bound for all those decades and only recently has ventured into the world with Pendergast. Pendergast has found her thorough knowlege of his uncle's extensive library indispensable in his police work. She certainly is not the thoroughly modern gal and until recently has dressed in the early 20th century style. She is described as pale complected with a delicate frame and long, dark hair. Her eyes display a certain wisdom which betrays her youthful appearance. Anyway, this portrait is pretty much how I see her in my mind's eye.
I want to add that when I saw Godin's Noir, I immediately felt she was Constance. Lovely character :)
