Description

here a veiw of inside of one of the graves you saw yesterday. A lot of junk is in there. wonder what the cooking pot is for? i understand the beer cans and orange juice can and the hard drink bottle. Most likely Gin as it a drink that poor blacks around here likes. I see no bones. People around here is a lot of times burny on top the ground because of the water table around here. It just below the ground and if you put the body in the ground it will come back up. Guess the bones is back to dust now here? Wonder how good the undertaker job is done? Do not they put stuff into the body to keep it from rotten away? I think they changeing people a lot of money for nothing!!!! thanks for looking and comments

Seems like that above ground style is used all over LA. I know it is common in New Orleans but I am told the grave yards there are a dangerous place to visit on your own. It is a great shot of a sad situation. Those that have died and those that will probably drink themselves to death, already in the grave. Well donje human interest shot.

It is a sad sight to see. It is not the only place in disrepair, if the cemetery is about 100 yrs. old they are usually quite vandalized and nearly gone. One cemetery here totally disappeared, and now they are trying to find it again. It is a shame. I had heard that some places such as Louisiana that graves have to be above ground because of the water table. Actually, they should be built better than this, but that's the story here. No one seems to care anymore.

I said it in the previous post that how we honor the dead reflects how we honor life. great shot, Jocko.

Cool shot, but how macabre! Is this the desecration of a tomb, with ghouls on the loose? No sanctity here, that's for darn sure.

if dying was not enough the deceased had to deal with black mold.so many people have no respect for living, so why should they respect the dead.very candid shot

Incredible view Jock, and sad to see that it is not just a home for the dead but for those in need also.
