Description
I wanted to give the feeling of depth with this one. hence a tall thin picture. Of course at any depth like this it would be much darker, also a lot more boring.
Anyway, thanks for looking and commenting. It's always appreciated.
Sorry if you got two notifications (if you follow me) I hated the compression artifacts, so reuploaded.

You have overwhelmingly achieved your “feeling of depth” in this fabulous image. First time in your gallery and I will be back. Dana

Love the vertical format and the lighting...excellent portrayal of deep sea environment, and the boat wreck is a great touch!
DangerousThing
Very nice. The vertical format helps the feeling of depth and I get the feeling of water rather than just a ship hovering in air. My only suggestion would be to put a small slow stream of bubbles coming from the sub - it looks like a steampunk submarine and they probably aren't as tight as a modern sub. Plus it would enhance the "underwaterness" of the image.

That would be the light level at around 12-150 feet, so we are talking a pretty deep area. Very nice render, the light on the rocks is spot on.
drawbridgep
Thanks for the comments. Actually there is only one light source, the sun. I added a ocean layer and then cranked up caustics and all the nice reflections and refractions come from that one light going through the ocean surface. Carrara rocks.

20,000 leaks! One light you say! WOW Caustics! have never have the time to play with then! Rock On! Tick.A.Tea.Bo. !!!!!!!

This is really good. The long picture does work to give it a sense of 'deep'.

Man the way the light filters through the water over the rocks, the sub's look all Brilliant!

That rock and illumination is incredible,So is the vertical format, right on! I have tried moods like this on Bryce, but there I don´t have caustic controls.
