Beautiful shot!!!!!!

Nice shot...Man made Sunrises and Sunsets can be Beautiful but devastating to the environment. Fires, smog, smaze, coal dust from mines, sulphur Dioxide from Refineries, all about as bad as Pink Floyd' Two suns in the sunset. For whatever reason Man seems dead set on destroying the very thing that sustains all life, the Planet itself. Peace

Isn't it ironic to get such a beautiful shot of a tragic event? I'll never understand why people do such things. :(

Yea, we rarely think about all the critters who loose their lives in these fires.

It always amazes what beautiful sunsets come from awful disasters such as this fire. I guess it's all the smoke pollution that acts like a filter for the sun, and creates these sunrises and sunsets. Gorgeous capture. Would make a great sky for a Poser or Daz render.

It's really heartbreaking to read about the loss of animal life in that fire and the petty reasons for starting it. :-( Nice dedication for Minda -- and what a dramatic photo of the beauty that sometimes results from destruction. Well done. BTW, I still have an Olympus but it's an OM-1 (purchased new several years ago) and uses real 35 mm film. LOL

Lovely dedication!!

That's an excellent photo, Steve! I vaguely remember the news reports of that fire. How ironic it being started by someone sworn to protect us from fire...
