Description

This is my first image,(that I'll show you, lol) done in Vue. I've had Vue 7 for a year and finally loaded it up yesterday, rofl. This is sort of how I feel...notice the sinking boat and absence of a boater..that would be me, sinking, lol. I do enjoy the program, very easy to use, just loading content has me confused at the moment. Oh well, I'll learn :) Thanks for looking and commenting, please feel free to offer advice, I need it!

Wonderful job - keep after it! I know EXACTLY how you felt: After a couple of years with my beloved (but limited) Daz Studio, it took me FOREVER to eke out even a reasonable first image when I switched to Carrara. My advice to you: Get the best tutorial series you can find for Vue (yes, even if you have to pay for it) and go through the dang thing at least twice. When I did this, my images had made a quantum leap and now I am much more confident. Vue is immensely powerful, I think you will like it if you take the plunge...

A very fine image. This is art with a heartfelt background and that makes it very special. Well done and welcome to the community. You will find the place chok full of kind and cool people. I have recently started using VUE and any questions and sharing is welcome.

The story behind this one should be interesting. I see that someone was lost at sea, then I notice the blood, and go... what happened? Was he eaten by a shark? Did he come across pirate zombies? Or did he simply cut himself before drowing. I suppose we shall never know what happened to this lost soul. hehehe

Nearly a year later, do you still like Vue? I rarely use it for serious renders but ti does great lighting for backgrounds! Not sure what the deal is, but I've never had a good, stable run with Vue 8 or 9. It'll do one image and crash, or ramp up the polygons to the billions and then crash... I like the image here though! The splash on the ring has great details
