They look like they were meant to be supports for a small bridge across the creek there. Some one never got around to constructing the bridge. That is just a guess. Great capture no matter what they are.

Makes one wonder how we will be seen by future generations. If we don't understand it, it must be religious. I always enjoy seeing your pictures.

Once again you present us with an intriguing image. This one is quite unusual. At first it appears to be an attempt at erecting a building, or, as was suggested by greyone, a plan to span a bridge across the creek. In situations such as this I guess it is a good idea to appply Occam's razor. Atany rate it is an excellent capture!!!!!

I do not believe they are for a bridge. The left side of each structure is higher than the right. There are 10 of them, with 2 being in line with each other giving a total of 5 sets. But the sets are not in line with each other which would be required for proper piles for bridge construction. The slots do appear to uniformly the same height though. Thinking they may have something to do with dressing raw lumber. The logs would be floated down stream, retrieved near these piles. Placed into the slots where they where shaped(?), lashed together(?), placed under weight / force and bent(?). Thats my guess. Other wise great pic.

Well I'm sure all the above were good explanations, but I personally think you are right, they are goblin monuments.
