Description
It is time for you to release your hold upon the past. You are no longer of Thrace. You are destined for great and wonderful things. Embrace the path the gods have set you upon. You are the Bringer of Rain ... the Slayer of Death. Together we shall etch the name of Spartacus into the pillars of history. -Quintus Lentulus BatiatusI have met the deadline for my current writing project several days early. I look forward to resting my pens for a little while and turning to other creations. I shall now finish the minor steps to set the post production tools on their way for you. I'm also going to indulge my yearning to return to ancient Rome. There are a few action scenes in various stages of development that I will advance as far as they will cooperate. As a treat for the ladies, and some of the guys, I thought I'd share a test of Spartacus before he gets roughed up and marred. I hope you enjoy the gesture. ;-) With warmest regards, Terry The image below will take you to: The Face That Made Rome Tremble

It looks like Russel Crowe!

Ute: "I want to thank you a lot for each lovely and nice comment on my little fairy story .." Your stories make me smile, Sis'. This is a rare commodity within most of my days. I am happy that I can return something of that emotion. Hug!! Sherrie: "It looks like Russel Crowe!" Hmmm... maybe it's their gladiator training shining through!? ;-) From a photographer's perspective there is a "presence" certain actors have, which is native and not developed through training, that shows up on camera from the first frame. Charisma is not quite the word, it's something somatic and primordial .. Alpha essence maybe. Among actors, Gable had it, Brando and Dean certainly, Richard Burton as well. You see it in Crowe when he's not "acting". Other contemporary actors who just "have it" are Del Toro, Bardem and Gerard Butler. This is not a list of "favorites" or a critique of acting at all. It's just an observation of some actors who exude a certain quality of masculine presence which cameras adore. It is something that can be recreated in non-photographic media. T.

You have nailed that stunning masculine expression on Spartacus' face, Terry... Firm and determined as a stone, but far away from stonehearted... Vashek
