been seeing these all my life around this time of year, every year, and have NO idea what they are called! it starts out as a "Milk weed" in the summer, foliage turns purple when the weather cools, and produces these pretty berries! NOT edible I'm sure, but the birds LOVE em! Damn purple bird poop is hard to get off your car too!!! LOL! anywho!!!! Thanks for looking! (((hugs)))

They are called poke berries~~ Me and my cus Nessa , use to play with them and they do stain your hands.. and you can make war paint out of them also .. lmao nice shot of them ;) ~TiNa~

I don't know about the berries of the poke berry but I do know that the greens are eaten in the spring. Nice shot and I hate those things. I get rid of every one I find to keep my car clean. };-)
