I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

A well worn path. one can almost image a Roman army or other, marching along this path at one time.

By beholding this place, this beautiful photo, I feel like an explorer on the way to liberating adventures. On the road in a very warm atmosphere for a fantastic goal and destination.

I could do myself some damage here. Sometimes I lose my balance on an even path. I'd love to risk it though. Beautiful path and capture! Lovely framing and light. I like the broad leaves to the top and right. I got ready to post this comment last night and rr went out on me. It was a good sign to go to bed anyway. Great shot!
