Description
This piece was done as a banner for a friend's sci-fi RPG campaign. He let me pretty much have free reign with this and I certainly pushed my own limits, trying to come up with the biggest, blockbuster of a scene I could conjure!
I think the part that I like the most about this, is that it comes pretty darn close to how I would frame things and the depth that I try to achieve when shooting film. There is a focus, but there is lots to see every time you come back.
Heavily inspired by a handful of my favourite films (I'm sure you can guess which ones) and quite obviously my first time using a female figure as my central character!
This image took a long time to finish. So many elements to work out and then fighting the computer to output it. In the end, there was something like 8 full renders, 20 or so light sources, and so many models, I kind of lost count!
You really NEED to click on the image and have a look at the large version to see just how much detail is there. Go ahead... it won't bite!

Fantastic scene. It does have an insane amount of stuff going on and any who don't click on "full view" really lose out! It really has a cinematic scope to it. Sort of Matrix-like from some of the opening scenes. Great piece of work!

Well worth every minute you've spent on this, LT. Love the mix of cy-athletics, razor's pipes and wires the eastern style lanterns and the steam sith. POV and lighting are excellent. I envy Nano for having seen it come together. Raetjor

Dude the end result is well worth the fight you had to get this image done. 8 full renders? I can imagine how much 'fun' it was to get all the light sources to match. The POV is amazing, detail is amazing... the image as a whole is farking amazing!
