Description

This image, taken in the same park of a villa near Padova, is dedicated to DananJaya_Chef (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!) and all those who like cooking! What's sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander. This old-fashioned proverbial expression, often shortened, was cited and described as 'a woman's proverb' in John Ray's English Proverbs (1678). Therefore the saying goes back long before the women's movement. Its literal meaning comes from cooking poultry: male and female geese would be served with the same sauce. What applies to one applies to both, especially to both male and female. For example, After her husband went off with his fishing buddies for a week, she decided to take a vacation without him: what's sauce for the goose, you know . That is, if something is good enough for me, then it's good enough for you! Thank you for your kind comments.
