Description

I was meeting with a Landscape Designer/Consultant yesterday to discuss options on bringing more wildlife into the yard. Maybe I don't need him? lol We were buzzed by this (juvenile?) (hawk; specific ID pending; they all look alike to me!), after which he lit in a tree very near the rear property line to survey his options.. In this frame, he was checking out the toy Dachshund in my rear neighbor's yard. That pup was all agitated about my pups, and probably didn't know he was being given the feathery eyeball. Would have liked to have gotten some flight shots, but considering the surrounding foliage, I thought it unlikely to be successful, and I didn't want to keep the consultant standing around waiting for me.

Stunning capture of this lovely bird! I wonder if it would have heard much more from your neighbors dog considering he was being eye-balled? Fabulous work!

Never under estimate a doxie. I have seen mine go after raccoons that were 3 times her size. Fabulous shot that shows this bird's alert gaze.
