Hi all..
It's been awhile, I know. The title pretty much describes.
Apologies for the crappy thumb. I have no idea what's up with being unable to get it down to required size. But hey, I'm rusty, to say the least. So, until I get my sea legs again, hope you'll view this one full size. And if anyone can clue me in on getting a larger, clearer thumbnail that I'd actually be willing to leave in my gallery, I'd be grateful. :)
Here's to hoping this lands in your laps, finding each of you well, and in a good place.
Thoughts,
Nancy

Lovely stuff! I always like how you mix such strong shapes and colors with very subtle patterns and sub-patterns. This one is very interesting because the first look says one thing, but every time I look again I swear it keeps changing on me. I kind of wish I had a notepad of this (Some kind of nice hand-made type paper, I think) to write on, it's the kind of thing that would keep on inspiring me whenever I looked at it.

Great design, coloring and texture. I like the washed look. Dynamic and lovely. Good to see you and your work again, Nancy. :-)

Terrific flow and energy in here Nancy despite the muted shading, and it's so good to see you back here. No - I see no sign of rust- you still have the magic!!! p.s. I always let Rendo. do the thumbnail for me because, like you, I am useless at making them. I do remember Joe once giving me a good little programme for making thumbs. Maybe he still has it. Mine must be floating about in the ether somewhere.

Ooohs and aaaahs .. and couple of shudders, because it has a haunting, eerie feel to it, despite the warmish brown tones. A sort of dream-ish, feel, not a nightmare, but disquieting, wondering "just where the heck am I?" It's beautiful too, though, a lovely sepia landscape .. it's those "beyond the pale" undertones that make it perfect for the time of year. It is SO good to see you posting one of those gorgeous fractals you make, and just darn-right good to see you here again. Big hugs ..

Lovely to see a posting from you again and it is a beauty too. I'm not help with doing a thumb as mine is so old I have forgotten how to do them.

You've taken a fractal design and made it into an etching, almost; and yet you have two textures, the one coming out of the lower right corner, like an organic ornamental creature, and the background, like an organically growing city; and the creature or plant seems to be growing right into the latter. It all opens up above the central spiral, we get glimpses into other worlds coming into frame (and a sense of them going on at length outside the frame). And like many of your fractals, this has the feeling of a highly organic entity unfolding before our eyes. It's not easy to work with few tones, but you did it here...And really, the tonal difference between the growing configuration in the lower right corner & the rest of the image is quite dramatic. Subtle & dramatic at once, and very rich, and filled with growth and fine detail. It's always an event when you come back to RR, even if for a day. I'm sorry I missed this when it went up, but I saw it when it went up, and I always felt you were placing a beautiful plume against a deep & beautiful city...A deep-hearted imagination you have...
