after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve
i enjoy working with poser, i have such a dinosaur version i use, (p6) wish i had poser 2012 at least. i also use photoshop 7 for most of my work i post here. but more so photography is my main passion, just hope to get a camera again someday.
Â
p.s. not sure how high of a res pic i'm using for this page. take care and thanks a million you all.

Steve, this is really a fantastic image and a marvelous dedi to Orlando. So glad to hear your not going to remove your gallery, and hope things get better soon so you can feel comfortable about staying. Trust me bro, it's easy to get down when you hit a few rough spots in life but remember you have friends who love you here.

Fantastic work, Steve. The greenish smoke from the candles added a nice touch, plus the frame of curtains. An awesome dedication. Great work as always!

fantastic dedication to tamburro... :d excellent work

wow very nice as usual!! your lighting is always right on spot!! I understand the crashing.. I am about convinced its lack of memory.. at least in my case.. 2 gigs just doesnt seem to be enough.. during a few renders I have checked and sure enough poser is eating up over 1 full gig.. I dont know what kind of system your on but mine is about 4 years old.. I think maybe adding another 2 gigs and my crashing problems might change.. though Im not sure..

Great work. Steve and a wonderful dedication. Love your lighting I'm glad that you are not leaving, at least for now. DrCarl has the right of it. I've got DAZ 2.3.whatever on my system and even on my old computer it didn't crash (as a reminder - the system is still described on my homepage) and the nice thing is - it's free
bakapo
nice background and use of light and smoke in this. she's beautiful but she looks bored with her little buddy. I'm so glad you're staying, I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Great scene and a very lovly model. Her little white friend is a little creepy. Outstanding render. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent familiar she has. Nice image. My system doesn't crash on me. (so far) But, then again, I built myself THE BEAST just so I could do this stuff. I've got DAZ on my system but I prefer fighting with the idiocies/idiosyncrasies of Poser. DAZ lights are far easier than the primitive handling in Poser but what you can do with them in Poser is something else again. Render ON!

Wonderful image Steve, lovely composition as usual and a great dedication to a great friend and artist, superbly done! I 'm very happy to know that you will stay here ;-)

Yeah, I hear you man. Poser 7 improved things, but you still can't build to your heart's content. All too many times I've had to delete characters that created detail and depth to a scene. Sigh. Don't get me started on the size limits here at Renderosity.
CaressingTheDark
wonderful render

great image.. I do some computer work myself, from what you said there are several possibilities: You may have spyware downloaded from a website (which in many cases unaware of it) which can cause massive slowdowns..in which some spyware are hard to remove. Insufficient physical hard drive available space Out of memory while in the middle of rendering Have many malware, spyware that you probably best bet to reload Windows and start all over again Or you just probably need to re install Poser Or just need to upgrade the graphics card I had a slow slow render before in Vue, I simply just swap out the graphics card and now it is working fine. But there are several causes of what you describe ...this is just my opinion...hope it helps.

yeesssss....I still have my PFF for the moment....so glad you thinking about being on the "staying" side! Fantastic image my friend! Love the lil creature, and she is gorgeous! (((hugs))) DAZ.......ya got it? That's all I use! hehe!

I really like the atmosphere you have created here steve! Your model is very lovely and the whole scene is captivating!! A very fine image and a great dedication!
Savage_dragon
You might just try updating the graphics card you have. It helped me. I went to the site, (NVDIA for mine), & downloaded the update & things ran much smoother. Glad you're sticking around, my friend. Very cool render. Hugz ")

AMAZING IMAGE STEVE. A true Winner!!! FAV!!

Your demon on your girl's arm reminds me of my dog - the size and the ears - lol... the cat reminds me of a new cat in town that has shown up at our back door right after I send my dog in. I play with my dog alot, so he's got quick speed, but I hope the cat doesn't decide to hurt him.... so with that in mind, I can see the cat in this picture kicking that demon's butt - lol pretty cool picture bro... glad to see you posting so soon after having some thoughts.

Super work man, excellent palette and lighting. Even when I was using my HP with NVIDIA GeForce 7150m with the latest Driver software for the Grafix the only thing that smoothed out Complex Renders was Rendering while sleeping. Keeping all other processes at Idle letting the Processors work only on the Render and nothing else. Also if it's just size killing you and you're running 32 bit may be time to go 64 bit and add RAM, lots of RAM. Peace

That's a wonderful dedication and superb render ... I really love the candle light and the way it contributes to the image. Well done.

Steve my friend. I am so sorry your going through such a tough time. too many things piling up on you. My Poser crashes as well when I have the perfect scene and then it won't render because it doesn't have enough memory. Some of these models eat up alot of memory. We all love you and your art work. If you need a break, take a small one but leave your wonderful gallery intact. This can get overwhelming sometimes. Making renders and our need to want to comment on our friends work as well. Don't know how you do it all on dial-up.Your a trooper. It is tough to keep up on high speed. Sometimes we just need a small break and then we come back refreshed. I know your worried about mom with her chemo and the insurance issues etc. I guess the frustration of wanting a new computer to do your artwork is weighing on your mind as well. It is not easy, I know. We are all here for you to give you all the spiritual support you need. Sending you comforting hugs and hope you feel better soon. Hugs Liz
