Description

I shot this photo yesterday out walking with a friend close to where I live. Looking at the screen on my camera I realised that I had to save this view. There were some heavy clouds on the sky and some beautiful light that afternoon, but soon after rain started to drop and we hurried in shelter. Coming home and looking at the shot on my desktop I thought it would be fun to change the image toning and coloring a bit both in highlights and shadows, and ajust the sky to the left for at more dramatic effect. Hope you like it. Lars

dorkmcgork: Thanks for your comment. Yes, I like that architecture too, it is a complex of 2-3 buildings in that area, not much taller than what you see but very interesting to watch.

light: That is wonderful, I just recently "discovered" the sky my self, as a source of inspiration and material for my photographs and composite work. As you say always beautiful and often dramatic.. Thanks for your comment.

meinen: Thank you very much, I am so glad that you like it, both the coloring (I did some ajustments with some Photoshop split toning) and even more that you mention the composition.

MrsLubner: Thank you Mrs! Ah, that is the right way to put it .. blend of color. Even more so since I deliberately changed toning for highlights and shadows individually to achieve a more dreamlike look :)

Beautiful capture and postwork! This is a very dramatic image, not only because of the gorgeous sky, but also the contrasting sharp lines of the building. The building on its own is quite fascinating and interacts wonderfully with the light and clouds of the afternoon storm. Excellent image!
