The Smokies are a mystical land of lush inspiration to a photographer. A dear ol' friend owns a place way up in the hills of western N. Carolina about a half hour's drive from Asheville. He's left the door open for me for the past twenty years to come up and stay at whim. I most often go there when I need to focus exclusively on my writing. More than anywhere else I've been in the States the Smokies are a portal land to a long distant time ago. I luv' it. & It sounds like you do to. :-) I like detail photography such as this; glimpses of life that most folks pass by without even noticing. In this season there is so much of wonder to soak our senses in. Congratulations, Lynell, on being selected within the Gallery of the Week! This is ideal for inclusion within a seasonal collection.
