Description

My grandfather on my mother’s side of the family was a locomotive engineering. In the mid 1950’s I was a young boy who idealized this man, my hero in a sense. I remember taking a trip on the “Inter Continental”, Montreal to Vancouver with my parents. But the great memory that I have is that my grandfather was driving that big mechanical monster. As a matter of fact that man was the inspiration that lead me to become later in life what I am today,a mechanical engineer. Just thought that I would share a little of my history through my current hobby.

Ok George.. you had me fixated for 5 minutes on trying to decern the difference between "What you said" and "What you should have said". I don't see any differences.. Cut & paste: "mechanical engineer" and "mechanical engineer". I'm a bit dyslexic but these look the same to me. Ok.. enough about that.. anyway, yea.. my Grandfather (moms side) also was an Engineer working for the railroads. I also loved trains as a youth. Not so much anymore because they always seem to arrive at the same road crossing I'm needing to get through, just as I arrive. Thus leaving me to count freight cars for 5 minutes. And they don't even have a Caboose anymore.. I feel cheated.. like no desert after dinner. Excellent render ol man.. Bravo and best wishes from Dave :^)
