Description

I watched a DVD on chainsaw safely for i was going to be useing one. I saw on the DVD it a big no no to use one hand ot cut with the chainsaw. The saw could jump and hurt you bad so always keep both hands on it. I had both hands on the chainsaw and I know it kick back on me and hit my leg. It hurt me; but lucky it did not cut me for the back of the saw hit my leg; that why it say to have your leg clear of the back of the saw and off to one side. I leard the hard way. Anyway this guy used one had and it did not jump out backwards or upwards. There is names for these type of jumpings but I for got them. He also do not have his rope tide off and the strap he is useing is cut up. Look like he needs a new one or tell his boss to get a new one for him. He up in the tree about 20 to 25 feet I guess and this is the limb you saw him standing on from the last upload. it the last limb left on the tree

Do not confuse the advice on a DVD user manual for a chainsaw, with the use made workers logging ... he wears a hat and not his helmet ... safety rope hanging down, so it's not really ... ensécurité this workman surely thinks that the instructions are too heavy ... but saw too, when the arm is tired ... he seems there a lot of luck at least until that gorgeous photo!

Oh no, Paul Bunyan up there, hanging on for dear life with a chainsaw and no safety net! Better him than me! Excellent clarity and composition in this capture, Jock.

I see a safety strap on the upper section of the tree and it may be attached to his harness Great capture

I was in a tree once using a chain saw that probably weighed 25-30 pounds and it is flat hard just to hold it with one hand little lone cut also.I managed to use both hands by hugging a branch ..I use to have a safety harness but I sold it.I had no use for it since I have no intentions of doing any work except holding my camera-haha

Great story Jock, this chap is an accident waiting to happen. This would certainly not be allowed to happen in the UK - too many rules and regulations. I like your shot.
