Description

Greetings Friends, Here is an interesting environmental sciences factoid. Flowers do not exhibit their incomparable beauty and fragrance to please us humans. We are utterly irrelevant in the ecosystem. The evidence for this is overwhelming. Flowers exhibit their incomparable beauty and fragrance to please things like bees and butterflies and moths. The prettier you are and the better you smell the better are your chances of getting your pollen spread around (this is true for humans also, but that is a different ecosystem entirely). This raises the following question, which should be of great interest to Renderosity art enthusiasts. If beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, what say you concerning the art appreciation aesthetics of things like bees and butterflies and moths? Created in Ultra Fractal (Mandelbulb “Star region”)

WOW!!! what a great image Stan. It is like a stop motion on high speed macro, so it catches the instant that the stamens are waving to attract the elusive bee. The instinct to procreate is so over powering in all living organisms wether they are plant, animal or insect. Beatiful work and superbly explained.

Easy answer: Nature doesn't need a human perspective. This particular image has a somewhat ominous feel about it.

You have achieved a wonderful depth to this super little fractal. I like how the center is really jumping out.
