I have some fowers outside on a bush that are purple, a month ago when we were dry I thought they were done for the year, the came back... kinda look like lilocks, just ALL purple. .... I saw your comment at benbischop's gallery and I couldn't resist to leave a comment connecting to your comment - lol gorgeous rose, looks like it may be in an alley gutter (curb)

They are so extra special when they bloom in October! I have a rosebush that has several blooms right now. The leaves on the trees are turning but the rose keeps blooming!

My roses here in south central Oklahoma USA are no longer blooming, sadly I'll miss them this winter but look forward to them returning in the spring. Thanks for one last glance at there beauty, well done!

Lovely Mike. It's a slight shame your auto-focus has locked on the surrounding leaves and not the actual rose. This is where manual focus would have prevailed. I hope I don't sound too critical or too much like Simon Cowell! Its just that I've been doing similar shots and was having the same trouble until I shot full manual!
