Description

I had a lot of fun with this one. :) This is the Gabriel hair from the plat club members choice and the free face that came with it on the warriors, The Ad Gladio set for the armor and the new Castillo del Diablo set. I was going for maybe a Frazetta thing, but not sure if it quite makes it. I did have fun though. The wings have some postwork, especially at the top where I just wasn't happy with the texturing. I cut off the edge of the ground and built in more of a cliff as I think these guys would be way up in an inaccessible place except by wing. These guys might end up in more pieces. I really enjoyed working with them. Anyways, any critique or commentary is so welcome. I'd love to learn to do this better. I love Frazetta and would like some of my stuff to resemble that. Really fantastic work with this!!! I love the characters and how you created the scene ...up in the heights. Best of all is your foreground and background placement of the characters to give a really wonderful sense of perspective! Bravo!

When I first saw this I just went wow. I love the sweep of the front guys wings, in fact there is just so much power radiating from the front guy I would suggest cropping the image to just leave out the other two figures, or leave them out and paint in flock of birds. I love the bold use of a single color. Also the spare use of armour and a realistic bronze age sword rather than some oversize dragon wacker.

I really like how you used all these items. The way the characters are placed; you really get an idea of the depth of field. The poses on all three of them are spot on, too. The only thing I wondered about was the colour of the lighting; it looked a little too green to me, but you may have been trying to make it look like an alien planet with a somewhat green atmosphere, so if that was the intention, I take it back.
