Description

This is my next attempt to make an interesting underwater scene. I used some volumetric light with gel. To my surprise it took my computer (athlon1800, 256 DDR) 9 hours to render the scene. I hope you like it. I am waiting for your comments :)

Alright now! It's a beauty. I'd love to see something like this animated, but even your 1.8 athlon would take so much time to render...

The stoney ground is a little bit boring, but the light is fantastic! Damn good image!!!

Oh yes. This light is incredibly good.... Bravo. I aggree with haegerst about the texture of the stone that could be improved. May be the thin blue line on the left is the horizon ?. Have a look at this thread in the Vue forum : http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12368&Form.ShowMessage=763366 Anyway, I love this picture. For your second underwater scene I give you a 10 :)

Awesome scene! The lightbeams come out very well. If you insert something like a waterdragon it would be perfect :)

This is the kind of underwater scene I want to do. I kind of like the stony ground myself....more interesting than sand.

really well done on the lighting and the under surface of the water. I agree that the stone is a nice change to just sand but this one looks to much like a man made wall instead of a naturaly occuring texture. I give this a nine. :)

Very nice! Did you thought about a few small fishes near the plants?
