Description

For a party who harps on about the threat of Sharia Law overrunning the country, they sure act like a "poster boy" for it's principles. Do they speak for you? Please vote accordingly.

Where is your proof to back up any of those claims. You will not give any, because you don't have any. Give us the name of any Republican who's advocated for the establishment of a national religion, and where they said it. Name a single right, women's, minorities, it doesn't matter, that's been repressed. Name a single civil liberty that's been lost to the Republicans. Give us the names of anyone who's calling for the killing of gays. Name the war that a Republican has led us into that didn't involve months of diplomacy beforehand. And you don't want to talk about Republicans taking foreign money. washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/10/18/AR2010101802645.html Read that. If you have the courage.

Pat Robertson and Pat Buchanan both have called for an establishment of a national religion..Buchanan said on that program hosted by George Will..Robertson has said it from the Pulpit a number of times... so has Ann Coulter but the less said about her the better (remember, she said that "Jews needed to be perfected"... although she didn't quite go on to explain how). Patriot Act diminished a number of civil liberties, not lost but seriously infringed... The Klan... and poster boy David Duke called for the extinction of Gays... Duke ran as a Republican, I believe... and yeah.... technically Iraq isn't a war... wording aside, very nice work on the graphics... and isn't that what we're all here about?

Thanks for that 1358. Glad to see that someone else has been here(or at least reading the news) for the last twenty years:)) I suppose the constant assaults on Roe v Wade, the warrantless wiretapping...all under Bush, slid "under the radar" as well. Guantanamo(Cheney/Bush/Rumsfeld)..."Waterboarding"(Rumsfeld/Cheney)"The Patriot Act"(Bush/Cheney) "American Saipan (Tom Delay) Abu Graib(Rumsfeld) Any of these ring a bell??? @thekingtut P.S. Where did I SAY the words "Killing" and "Gays" in the same sentence? Are you seriously gonna paint the GOP as "Pro Gay" or even TOLERANT, or "Pro a woman's right to choose"??? ROFLMAO If I were to offer a TENTH of the proof I have, it would take pages...and PAGES!

Good work as always, Intro. I used to laugh my tushe off at the Robertson, Buchanan, Schafly, etc.,---I'm not laughing any more (at least not all the way down) since the religious right has highjacked the Republican party. I shudder. @thekingtut This seems to be a dead link. However, if you're referring to George Soros, he became an American Citizen in 1961. The elephant's expression here is priceless!

@ thekingtut Ok, you asked for names and sources. I'll give you a few to chew on: State Religion: Pat Buchanan, GOP member and advisor to Nixon cabinet: "We need to do more than win an election or win the House or win the presidency, my friends: we need to make this beloved country of ours God's country once again." [Pat Buchanan at the Christian Coalition 1995 Road to Victory Conference, as reported in the October 1995 issue of Church and State] David Duke, a former GOP candidate, has repeatedly called for the extinction of gays. In one of his few “witty” moments: "Of course you know the miracle of AIDS, we all do. It's the only disease that turns fruits into vegetables." Pretty clear what his intent is. 1993 sound bite from Duke radio show The attacks on Rowe vs Wade by Palin, Sharon Angle and the like leave little doubt as to the intention of the GOP if they gain power in the next session. War without diplomacy – the “diplomacy” of the USA prior to going to war in Iraq was a farce. It was totally a "Don’t bother me with the facts, I’ve already made up my mind." Don't believe me, don't have to, listen to the generals: Former Joint Chiefs chairman Gen. Hugh Shelton says that: "during the Bush administration, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, his deputy, Paul Wolfowitz, and other Pentagon officials pushed to go to war with Iraq "almost to the point of insubordination." "There was a very strong push in those days for us to go into Iraq, and there was absolutely no intelligence, zero, that pointed toward the Iraqis.," he told Christiane Amanpour on ABC's 'This Week' on Sunday. Diplomacy involved sending the Secretary of State to the U.N. where he was well humiliated by his sparse evidence for weapons of mass destruction excuse for going to war. Oh, yes, I know you will say they all wound up in Syria... smirk. Oh geez, you forgot to ask about torture because you know that one is a no brainer. Um let’s see, let’s start with oh, how about good old GOP president George Bush and his beloved waterboarding to obtain confessions? Turning guard dogs loose on prisoners? Forced position confinement? Sorry I cannot remember all the newspapers that reported these but archives of the New York Times will give a good start.
