Description

One dark and foggy Halloween night, When the clouds hid the moon from sight; A chilling sound ripped out of the dark, From within the deep woods so cold and stark; A thundering of hooves on cold, hard ground, Snorting and neighing, echoing all around; Emerging from the harsh, inky shadows, she stood there, The devil's horse, rearing and pawing, that old nightmare; Sending a shiver of fear racing down my spine, As her glowing red eyes stared with hate into mine; My heart thudded loudly and my head began to spin, I knew beyond doubt, my life was in danger then; Swiftly I turned and ran from that terrible sight, Heart pounding, my fear grew wings and took flight; For such horrid and frightful thoughts now filled my head, I opened my mouth to utter a scream, and awoke in my bed: ********************************************************** Just a little Halloween render for fun. The horse is from my BE4Milhorse PkII here on Renderosity. Rendered in poser 7 and imported to Photoshop for post-work. Credits: Background photos from imageafter and stockexchange, altered in Photoshop. Millennium Horse from Daz. Mil-horse texture by BluEcho. Poetry by BluEcho.

Beautifuly wonderful scene here truely I love the atmosphere in this one and you captured a feel of the Midnight right of the headless horseman with such wonderful vigor. Before I even read the title of story I was already feeling it. Bravo and hats off to ya for this one, Please can you tell a little bout the technique you used in this one?

@Steeleyes101: I posed and rendered the horse in Poser 7 and then imported it to Photoshop for post-work. My post-work consisted of importing a background image, adding a new layer and selecting black for the foreground color. I used the clouds filter, used it three or four times to get a good foggy look. Then set the transparency to create this look.
