Happy birthday Rod!!!!!! I take this picture last sunday in Lier( Belgium) The name of the tower is: The zimmer Tower. In the Zimmer Tower and the Zimmer Pavilion you will discover the life’s work of Louis Zimmer: the Jubilee Clock, the Astronomic Studio and the Wonder Clock. The former Cornelius Tower from the 14th century, part of the town ramparts at the time, was turned into a museum in 1930. On the stroke of 12 the years 1830-1930 (Jubilee Clock), the Belgian coat of arms, the first three kings of Belgium, Lier’s coat of arms and the six mayors who have governed Lier since Belgium’s independence appear. On the square in front of the tower you can see a model of the solar system with the asteroids Felix (1664) and Zimmer (3064), discovered in 1929 and 1984, and named after Felix Timmermans and Louis Zimmer.

Wonderful capture. The entire scene is wonderful, even cobble street. Nothing like that is around here, i envy you being able to visit such places.

Why did King Kong pick up the Zimmer Tower and throw it??? ....He wanted to see time fly - lol very interesting clock... it looks like it even has a gas gage - you've got almost a half a tank at two o'clock - lol
