Description
We went to Sandsend for lunch yesterday, it was howling a gale off the North sea. We were freezing it was "bracing", as the Yorkies say!! We were so glad to get home in the warm. Thank you for looking and treasured comments. Hugs. Diane. xx

Love this capture, great sky, light and colours! I was sitting by Whitley Bay near Newcastle recently, watching the waves lashing at the lighthouse and crashing on the beach. The conditions were much the same! My nose and hands were frozen, but there is always something exciting about being by the sea! I hope you have some more views for us!

What a beautiful looking place..I love to walk on the beach when the wind is blowing..not sure about the cold though...the empty seat really adds to the effect of the whole scene..

Utterly superb shot! Those frothy waves got carried away echoing the beautiful clouds, and brrrrr, it LOOKS very cold. This shot too has a painterly quality to it. How gorgeous this one and the previous one would look framed and paired on a wall!

Brrr, look at the foam on the water! It looks cold to me, but absolutely beautiful. Lovely colors and details. I like the checkerboard pattern made on the bench by the shadows and the tire tracks in the sand. Excellent shot!
