Entrato in pianura, scorre in direzione nord-sud lungo la parte orientale della provincia bresciana tra Gavardo e Remedello fino a giungere presso la mantovana Asola. Confluisce da sinistra nell'Oglio a valle di Acquanegra sul Chiese.
