Description

My dearest Mother (known in this community as Meisiekind) has been bugging me for over 2 years to join. With our work proxy not allowing Renderosity, I never had constant internet access to be able to regularly take part. Bit of background... I've been a hobbyist photographer for about 2 years now across many genre's, and have slowly learnt some of the tricks and trades along the way... My mom has been teaching me about composition, lighting and a whole bunch of other words I'm still "googling" to try and get to grips with... Anyways... I now have home internet and some drive (or giving in to mom's persistance) to share some of my work... A good place to start, I thought would be the cornerstone of my life... My relationship with the Lord my Saviour. I took this photo about a month ago. My gorgeous wife and I got married in September this year and on our way to our coastal honeymoon, we stopped over in a quaint little town her grandparents used to reside in. A town called Bethulie, on the shores of the mighty Orange river... Driving around on the evening we arrived, she told me to turn up this road and the sight infront of us was breathless. The dusk light illuminated the Church to perfection and I got goosebumps. The Church, the new Wife, the slendour & beauty... It was all just incredible. Enjoy!!

Finally!!!!! Time to celebrate! Welcome to Renderosity Werner! I am so glad you eventually have the ways to join and part take in this wonderful community. I'm glad my persistance paid off! LOL... What an image to start your gallery! Great composition and the contrast between the dark trees and the lit church is marvelous. The light on the old church is subtle, warm and beautiful. Just lovely!
