Description
Well, I could keep on tweaking this forever, but eventually one has to post a definitive version sometime, right?
This is the end result so far. I might giove it another try later on, but I'm leaving it like this for now. Thanks for all your helpful comments, it feels greatto come back to Terragen(too much time spent on fractals...)
I decided to stick with the earlier POV and zoom, with minor modifications. Did some changes on the water, and with some most excellent help from FrankB , managed to come up with a halfway decent sky. I tried my best to make justice to the helpful advice.
Also made a denser, more complex, texture. I was attempting to make for a muddy shore, with topsoil lurking in the water, I'm pleased with the result, though it's not perfect. Good exercise.
Rendered at 2048x1536 then sized down.
What do you guys think of this one?
EDIT: At the advice of FrankB and pushinfaders I fired up Photoshop and removed a small shadow problem which they mentioned. This should look better. But that's it! I am NOT meddling with this image anymore! ;).

Great sky work... i just love Terragen skys.. The surface map is well done..Excecpt for the nasty triangle shadow in the center, this is a keeper.. I wish I knew why TG does that.. I've had to try to fix many of those...

Well done Ianfe. All in all, it must have been quite a huge amount of time spent on this image. The colors are chosen well and all the other little things fit to a good overall composition. I would do one last step. Fire up photoshop and get rid of that polygon shadow in the centre.
