I bought a Tamron 70-300 AF DI Macro lens For Sony for R1700 at Makro. They only had 2 of these lenses in stock. I asked the salesman to keep one for me. Went to Makro yesterday to get it. Took some pictures with the Tamron lens yesterday. Here is one of the 1 st captures with the new lens.

Wonderful image! You know, I have sat next to a bunch of these nests not too long ago, and all the birds were afraid to go into their nests. I gave up, and I can see you didn't. This is a great capture. The funny thing is, the female will sometimes come to the nest and destroy it just because one little grass is not in it's place. LOL Women...guess they are always difficult. ;)

Outstanding. I'd love to examine one of these nests after it had been abandoned. Fascinating. Looks like this new lens will work out great for you.

Ag its beautiful Christo. Congrats on the lense...nothing like a new toy hey? Try to set your f stop a littler bigger - more to f2.4 (if you can), to delete more of your background. And your focus point not in the middel - the rule of thirds.... (i'm just sharing what we have learned...!) Great shot.
