I am an environmental scientist. A large part of my career has been dedicated to scientific research into the structure of ecosystems and factors that affect them. Quite early on, it became apparent that certain mathematical iterative principles formed geometries that coincided exactly with those found in natural ecosystems. And by ecosystems, I do not mean just plants and animals. The same principles also apply to quantum physics, geology, meteorology and on up to the formation of galaxies. These relationships were championed most publicly by the brilliant mathematician Benoît Mandelbrot, the founder of fractal geometry.
To my mind, the structure of natural ecosystems through application of these iterative processes revealed not only the genius and subtlety of nature but also its incomparable beauty. Â

Wow Stan! Your fractal is spectacular. I love this one. The story is great too, it shows a wonderfully creative side of you. As far as what my first wish would be, i guess i would need to seriously think about it for a while. Seems everything i think up could be ruined by a spiteful genie (Djin). Reminds me of a few different jokes i've heard thru the years, but very few would be suitable for mixed audiences. Oh all right, just one. A man in a bar meets a genie who grants him just 1 wish. He tells the genie he wishes to have a 12 inch penis. That is when he discovered the genie is hard of hearing. POOF.... after the smoked cleared, there stood a 1 foot tall guy dressed in a tux standing next to a piano. Sorry i know its corny but that was the only one i can remember that is not too dirty.

I love your Aladdins lamp and the great story to go with it. I think you have chosen your first wish very well and if this ever happened that I came upon a lamp like this I would take your wise words and come up with an answer.
