Description

Staircase of native walnut in the oldest active courthouse in Kansas and the midwest section of the USA. Work of art in wood. And to think there was not a powertool to be had in 1871-1873. Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Bill:) P.S. Great to be back taking and posting pictures again after my 16 day hiatus preparing the house in Leavenworth for sale! "Remember When" thumb_2120960.jpg

I love the POV and I'm quite impressed since shots like this are not as easy as they look. That stairway runner is superbly captured and I love the odd bendy quality of that staircase. The colors are deliciously rich and sumptuous. This is one of those photos I'd describe as sensual in that it evokes touch and scent and even sound just by all of the marvelous compositional bits and pieces and the overall POV. Excellent stuff!
