Description

First, a tobacco-free image. That said, yes, a Western-style pic. The horse was made by Breyer as their 2005 Christmas Horse. The decor is all by Breyer (superb detail). Price $1.89US plus tax at my local thriftstore (September 2010). The man-figure is 11.5 inch tall Max Steele (Mattel) wearing my hand made outfit. Picture taken on a warm September afternoon in open shade: white acrylic felt backdrop and pulled cotton balls for "snow." Sunlight added by use of kitchen aluminum foil (12 in. square - matte side) reflector some 8 feet away in 1 p.m. sunlight. A slight amount of postwork done, which destroy EXIF - camera an inexpensive Kodak C-180, no flash, close-up setting, auto-focus and exposure, distance about 24 inches, 10 second timer delay so I could beam the reflector. ISO not noted, but often 80 in these conditions. Orig. image 3664 x 2748 pxls. Max had to keep going. Robin, in a red strapless ball gown, waited.

Thanks all for your kind words. Much of my time has been devoted to creating photostories with my 1:6 scale figures. Unfortunately, Renderosity's format is not congenial to stories more than 6 panels at a time. If you are interested in such stories, especially with actresses using swords and armor, please check http://castleblackguard.weebly.com

Brilliant, Dick!! What a bargain that horse was! You have made a most marvellous job of this. I still haven't had time to give Slack Alice a decent set up, but with winter coming on, who knows?

Nice set up and shot! What a deal on Della Robia (the 2005 Holiday horse)! I'm jealous ;-)

Excellent! What a great use of the horse, and explanation of how it was done!
