Description

This is the fifth in my series of presenting 4D solids as art. Today’s offering is called a “Catalan’s Surface”. Like last week’s Dini's surface, this is another one of those disappearing into itself forever type things. I won’t repeat all of last week’s descriptive text or the Renderosity viewers will send a lynch mob after me. Any of those who are gluttons for punishment, just click on my piece “Down the Rabbit Hole” and the text is there. Enjoy, and happy Halloween! Created in Ultra Fractal

These 4D images just keep getting more and more impressive. Excellent work Stan. The idea of it disappearing into itself infinitly boggles my imagination trying to figure out how it doesnt just disappear. I think of a black hole, where every thing around it gets sucked into it, but the black hole grows bigger instead of disappearing into itself. LOL i may never completly understand the math or even the concept of a 4th dimension fully, but i do love your images depicting it. Havew a wonderful halloween.

An amazing work and you can see that it is never ending when you look carefully. A very impressive fractal and it even has shadows too.
