Description


Believe or not, this is a simple cloud photographed at sunset (the cloud was almost at the Zenith, partially illuminated by one side). The image is curious because, if you add stars in foreground, is very similar to an interstellar cloud like this one: http://www.eso.org/public/outreach/eduoff/cas/cas2002/cas-projects/italy_betel_1/m42g.jpg -(credits to AAO/D.Malin)- In alternative, you can imagine it as an explosion!

Very cool shot! When I first looked at it, my thought was "Is that a volcano?" Really nice capture, this is exactly why I use photos of clouds to make space scenes, it really does look amazing.
