Some fractals can be quite deceptive. This one for instance looks like a very simple one, but infact it is extremely complicated in design utilizing 10 layers to achieve what i was looking for. Our area of the praries was originally settled primarily by Ukranian settlers, There are many many parts of our society here that were brought about by these hardy souls. The very ornately decorated eggs that the Ukranian Babas do each spring are a true artform in themself. These little old ladies (many with severely crippling arthritis) thru the use of wax and dyes create exquisite eggs. If you wish to view a few of the real ones just google "Ukranian eggs" under images.
Today is election day down in the USA, I am soooooooo glad it will be over finally. Since most of our television channels are fed from american stations, for months now we have been bombarded by rather disgusting and mean spirited attack adds. Both the main parties seem to utilize this form of advertising. I am glad i do not have to vote down there, you never see any of these adds talk about what the person they are supporting would be doing if voted in, they instead just spew hate and say disgusting things about thier opponent. If i lived down there i doubt i would vote for anyone. I'm sure majority of those running for office are actually decent people, but the ads are so vile they cause me to dislike the person paying for it. Anyway happily all these ads should stop now that they are finally voting :) To all my American frineds on here, I hope the election goes the way you are hoping for.

Your image is so real. The decorated eggs of yore are very fragile,and unique in color as is your picture. Sounds like you had to take alot of time and patience to complete your fractal. Imagine what the Baba's went through!!! Very very beautiful work.

Cool work, excellent. I have seen displays of these Ukranian Eggs before, they are quite striking. No kidding, those damn Political ads with all the backbiteing and lies on all sides drive me insane, glad that crap ends today. Peace

Yes, many of the ones I have seen remind me of Navajo pottery art. And they use pens that look to me like they are difficult painting tools. Your design does look like a complicated one. I like the radial transitioning of design complexity and the earth tone shades go nicely with the black background. very impressive work!

It is so beautiful how you have to achieve this result, as are the Ukrainian eggs. I'm sure going to 'google' at that. Thanks for your information. It is interesting to note, these people has moved into your area for so long ago, and still doing those beautiful traditionalism.
