Description

Trying to get to grips with realistic lighting in Max. Modelling/texturing/lighting by me in Max (apart from the chair and stool) There's something bugging me about the lighting but I just can't put my finger on what it is so any help gratefully received!

Superb work. The floor is stunning. The lighting, mmm. Too many sources, it would appear that there are two daylight sources, left/right.The spots are strong but they are not illuminating the objects or the floor. The shadows seem wrong as well....well you did ask.Don't get me wrong, i actually think is a great scene better than i could do, well it would be i don't use max !!! Perhaps try with just the spots and see what happens :-)

I see six lights in the scene....two coming from each side...perhaps windows....the three spots from the wall sconces, and an overhead light which appears to be providing the shadows. Is this correct? The overall effect is quite realistic, I think.
