Description
My failed Halloween contest entry.
We're all familiar with the old Peanuts cartoon and the Great Pumpkin that rises from the pumpkin patch to deliver toys to all the good little children of the world on Halloween night.
We never really see the Great Pumpkin, rather what strangely seems like the silhouette of Snoopy. What if the legend of the Great Pumpkin was something completely different, something darker and more twisted? Something you wished would stay in the pumpkin patch...
Here is my vision of the Great Pumpkin, or maybe what should more appropriately be called the Not-So-Great Pumpkin.
Modeled & sculpted in ZBrush. Retop & UVs in 3D Coat. Render passes in ZBrush. Final comp in Photoshop. On and off, it took about 2 weeks to finish. Credit goes to the Deviant Art member SolStock for using the pumpkin patch image as a background.
If I find the motivation, I may polish this model a bit, rig, and release it to the marketplace. At the rate I work it may be done by next Halloween.

Some rather slick Zeebrush there friend, shame about the contest, I didn't get anywhere either, but it was fun to enter. If Snoopy ever turns in to this, I'm outta here ! Well done & ~Cheers~
