My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

It must be SUCH fun to drive that!!

Cool action photo. They have a lot more traction than your average tractor, so, yes, great for plowing, but expensive - not miles per gallon, rather gallons per mile! The turret turned sideways is to protect the gun so it won't risk hitting the ground when coming down the hump. It also prevents up-down misalignment of the sighting mechanisms. Keeep up the good work! :-)

Great capture, it almost looks like a toy!

Way to go Clive...I'll have to catch up with your military images here. I spent 20 years in tanks, but all a lot less sophisticated than this. Like the action! The gun is not pointing somewhere for fun or maintenance purposes...the gunner is actively aiming or seeking targets when they are out for real...
