Description

UF5/PSP Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are always appreciated. This image to me looks quite menacing. Has an Owellian feel to me. Thank you to everyone that left such wonderful comments yesterday on my image dedicated to Mies. I'm sure your touching comments were helpful in making sure she knows how much she means to so many of her friends here.

What I did sneak with these two staring eyes, who tried to scare me in the night? I used a flashlight. And I saw many things, various forms that could be admired. Then I was not afraid of your fractal night. But was glad I had seen.

a man walking in the forest at night, accompanied by a cyclops. The two living beings, scan the dark! The man listens to the noises, his companion movements. The Cyclops detects before humans, the flights of bats and mice! Between them ... auncun opponent will not pass this line of defense! Beautiful textures!

I am reminded of "Monsters from the id" from the (now ancient) movie “Forbidden Planet” where an alien (called the “Krell”) artifact machine can turn monsters hidden in the subconscious into real entities. I am very much impressed by the strong sense of presence conveyed by your rendering today. The glowing eyes are particularly effective in conveying menace. I feel that this ranks amongst some of the best work you have done. Excellent and original creation!

It's definitely a menacing image. Dark. I like it. Maybe it has something to do with Guy Faukes, poor man. But I'm being influenced by the intermittent sound of fireworks going off, getting ready to once again punish Guy for daring to seem to plot to blow up Westminster. It's the 5th of November here, and will be dark in a few hours. Perhaps I could use one of those burning eyes in your image as a torch.

I wonder what would have happened if Mr Fawkes, expert in the art of explosives, had managed it...36 barrels of gunpowder...Imagine creeping round the cellars of the House of Parliament in the depth of night, only hearing the scurrying of rats, the slap slap of the Thames on the dark dank walls, the fear of capture in the hearts of men intent upon blowing up a Great institution. Your eyes are the eyes of the 12 men....stalked by The King's Men in the early hours of the 5th November 1605 after a "tip off". Fawkes and eight others were caught, and hanged, drawn and quartered in the gardens of St Pauls Cathederal on January the 31st 1606. Splendid image Jim. Remember remember, the 5th of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot, There be no reason, why Gunpowder treason Should ever be forget. Not so popular now, bonfires and fireworks are lit and set off tonight all over the Country. Many many cats and dogs have to be sedated, or luckily are a bit dim like Merlin and take no notice of the bangs which get louder every year.
