Description
Those of you who saw my last posting know that I recently lost my mother. Although Alzheimers left her a mere husk of her former self, we her children choose to remember her this way: The woman who gave relentlessly of herself and taught us so very much.
Mom, you will be missed - but never forgotten for who you were.

What a wonderful tribute to your mother! I love the way the children are gathered around listening so intently. And the expression and gestures of your mothers hands, fantastic rememberance of a wonderful time. I always loved reading to my girls. Those are the good memories, and I can see in this image that you cherish them.

Oh this is so touching, I am sorry for your loss. This is a wonderful way to rememember her. And I remember the books well, I read them all to my children, and I have saved all those books so they can have them or perhaps someday read the same books to their children.

Sorry for your loss Larry. My father suffers from this disease so I am empathetic to what you are going through. For all intents I lost the man who was my Dad a few years ago and so as someone said, it is like loosing them 2x. You have to remember them for who they were and not who they became, as you have done here.

What a wonderful tribute and how lucky are the children who have their parents read to them. My mum read to me most every night and those are some of my most special memories, so I can totally relate to your picture. All the best to you and your family.

superb, i remeber my mom reading us cat in the hat, cancer won in the end. thanks for the memory, and the tears that followed, how lucky are we to have had great parents, some don't. remeber the smiles, it helps me the most
