Description

This is the old "Jim Bale" homestead along the Roaring Fork Motor Trail in the Smoky Mountains. This is such a peaceful place. No one lives in this area now, but you can imagine life must have been hard back then. Imagination can go wild trying to recreate how it used to be. I love the Smoky Mountains!! Thanks for viewing

This is an absolute gorgeous shot, and place! I have ALWAYS loved the mountains, and a place like this is somewhere I would actually consider living! Beautiful image!

This is great, Linda. Imagine the work involved in hand splitting those rails. Great photo.

This is a wonderful shot! Yes, I can't imagine how hard life was back then!! Lots of work, laying up enough wood for the winter, making sure you have enough food, clothes, etc. I have always loved this kind of split rail fence.

Beautiful shot it's great how you used the fence to lead into the picture,I've never seen a fence zig zag like that It seems a lot of work but there must have been a reason for it.
