Description
Playing with textures. The lighting isn't exactly what I want, but I am not certain how to change it. It is supposed to look late-afternoonish. I would appreciate any helpful hints about lighting.
The pots on the right are from Gerald Day. Two of the plants are from Bob (Meski) Cox, and one is from Drew Costigan. The garden bench had no readme.

Beautiful textures. I like the concrete of the wall very much. Looks very real.

Very nice picture, the light, according to me, is quite perfect. Maybe add some more light on the right part of the image. Put also the concrete texture on the left on a terrain instead of a cube (or plane) the effect will be greater.

This one really looks like a photo!! - Wonderful texturing, excellent detailwork - we love your foreground :-)

I agree with Freeze! From the thumb I assumed it was a photo, so it just goes to show that the ambiance is very effective. There are some real nice textures here ie; the cement render, metal grate and the small shrubs look spot on. On the question of the lighting! for a quick fix, go to the sky palets and reduce the shadow intensity , possibly altering the colour as well to a umber hue like dark plain chocolate. Also try tweaking the sunlight colour ( sky dome ) in the palet or the small sphere under the sunlight direction sphere, A really pale cream or salmon pink if you want the evening glow! I f you don't like what happens IM me and I will talk you through some things to do in the Sky Lab. Just to be a picky rat-bag! I find the yellow on the slatted bench a bit strident, I think if you kill the yellow a bit in the texture editor, it wont feel so brash. All said! Like most of your images, this has a really strong and attractive feel for atmosphere and place. Yummy! PS. The bumpmap on the down pipe might be a bit high? And another thing!...............he!he! Regards. brendan.
