Description

This is the Olympic Flame at the 1996 Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a few days after the opening ceremonies. Most Olympic flames are a huge fire and can be seen both day and night. This one had multiple flame jets along the rim of the red cauldron. Each flame was so small that you could not see the flame during the day. Zoom to see the jets along the top where the red paint has been burned away. Photo recently scanned. Oh I rememeber seeing this one lit in the opening ceremonies. It really is a magnificent piece of engineering and just all out nice to look at. Nice PoV and a wonderful capture!
