Description

Modeled the Flying Wing in Hexagon. Based on photos of the Northrop YB-49, a bomber developed in the late 1940s that never went into production, but was the definitely the coolest looking plane ever built. GIS Project by Jack Tomlin

Beautiful scene and great Wings! About 10 yrs. ago I saw a scale reconstruction of a Wing actually take off (slow and stately) and fly and fly and fly--it was every bit as awesome as I had always imagined. I think it was reconstructed by the Planes of Fame Museum in S. CA. World class modeling, Frogdot!

A beutiful image. The sharp contrast of High Tech with the robed figures in a techno-temple immediately conjures memories of a book read long ago (The Foundation). The monks look as if they could be standing in awe as their bretheren fly off, or standing in dread as they watch everything change.
